The Art Department provides a safe and inclusive learning environment, working to support the creative potential of all WWCC students. The Art Department collaborates with other Departments to provide a variety of venues to feature student work. These include displays in the WWCC Fine Arts Gallery, as well as other outlets on the WWCC campus.

The Art Department also supports students’ efforts to fulfill degree requirements by offering a wide array of courses appealing to multiple levels of interest, skill, and experience.

Is there an art gallery on campus? 

Yes! Art students show their work in the WWCC Fine Arts Gallery, located in the [which one?] Building.

Can I earn my degree part-time?  

Yes. It may take longer than two years to complete your degree in that case. But you can go at your own pace.

Can I do research projects at WWCC? 

Yes. With a faculty mentor, you can work on your own research or special projects. These are often supported through WWCC’s Honors Program.

Can I take art classes while I’m in another program? 

Yes, we encourage it! The Art program offers a wide range of courses for different skill levels. It’s a great way to enrich your education.

What is the difference between a craft artist and a fine artist? 

Craft artists create works like pottery, jewelry and clothing that are meant to be used. Fine artists create works that are meant to be displayed in galleries, museums or private collections.
