Reporting

IPEDS (Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System) Reports

IPEDS is a system of interrelated surveys conducted annually by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, requires institutions that participate in federal student aid programs report data on enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid. The completion of all IPEDS surveys is mandatory for institutions that participate in or are applicants for participation in any federal student financial aid program (such as Pell grants and federal student loans) authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (20 USC 1094, Section 487(a)(17) and 34 CFR 668.14(b)(19)).

WWCC’s Institutional Research and Effectiveness department updates IPEDs information annually. The information is disseminated via this webpage and quarterly emails to enrolled students.

Post-college Employment and Transfer

The Washing State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) provides reports and interactive dashboards on after-college outcomes, including transfers to four-year baccalaureate institutions and post-college employment and earnings. Both reports can be filtered to show only outcomes for Walla Walla Community College students.

The WA Education Research and Data Center (ERDC) provides an “Earnings for Graduates” dashboard, where statewide median earnings by college, major, and industry are available for comparison. ERDC’s Employer Demand reports provide a monthly assessment of the top 20 skill clusters and certifications that employers are looking for in workers, as well as the top 20 occupations and employers, by county.
