Careers in Nursing Assistant
A Cornerstone of Patient Care
As baby boomers age, the need for nursing assistants will only grow. As a nursing assistant, you’ll be a key part of the health care team. In fact, in many nursing homes and long-term care centers, you might be the caregiver who sees patients most often. You’ll help them stay clean and comfortable — and get around. You’ll also pass along their concerns to nurses, helping ensure that their voices are heard. Being a nursing assistant can be hard work, but it’s also rewarding. You’ll form important bonds with people who truly need you. If you are patient and energetic — and love to help people — this can be a great career.
