Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) extended for an additional weekend the measures put in place last weekend regarding attendance for Women’s Basketball and Men’s Basketball home games. Game attendance will be restricted this weekend to current WWCC students, families and guests of players and coaches as a result of the ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases in the college’s service district.
College officials met yesterday to review current COVID-19 conditions in our weekly assessment of the temporary transition to online courses and other measures we put in place on January 19.
As a part of the efforts to keep the college and community safe, officials at Walla Walla Community College made the difficult decision Monday to restrict attendance at WWCC basketball games this weekend due to the surge of COVID-19 cases on campus and in communities throughout the college district.
College leadership met this morning and determined that current COVID-19 conditions warrant a one-week extension (through Feb. 4) of the measures we put in place one week ago. We will continue to evaluate and provide updates weekly.
