


WWCC to open campuses to students regardless of vaccination status
Beginning with the start of Fall Quarter, Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) students can attend in-person classes and seek on-campus support services regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status, except where otherwise directed (e.g., WWCC’s Nursing Education program).

Dr. Benjamin Schultze announced as new Dean of Nursing and Allied Health
Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) welcomes Dr. Benjamin Schultze as the college’s Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. He begins work in his new role at WWCC on August 15.

Juneteenth
Juneteenth—celebrated across the country on June 19—marks an important milestone in the struggle for freedom. It is a celebration of the day enslaved Black Texans finally learned they were free—two and a half years after Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, and two months after the Civil War ended.

New director named for WWCC’s Institute for Enology and Viticulture
Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) has announced completion of a comprehensive search for a new director of the college’s highly acclaimed Institute for Enology and Viticulture. Stylianos Logothetis is slated to begin his new role at WWCC on July 6.

Free Celebration of Early Learning event at WWCC
Future college students, families and all members of the community are invited to a free “Celebration of Early Learning” event from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 4.

WWCC students celebrate return of free food pantry
Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) students welcomed back a valuable resource in April with the return of the Warrior Resources Food Pantry. The pantry, which has been closed for two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, reopened in April.
