During the 2023-2024 academic year, 839 students attended Walla Walla Community College without paying any tuition or fees beyond what was covered by their state/federal financial aid or scholarships.
This was made possible through WWCC’s unique Warrior Pledge, which is designed to ensure that cost is not a barrier for those seeking career training or a college degree.
Supported by generous private donors, the Warrior Pledge represents WWCC’s commitment to cover any remaining tuition or fees a student may owe after other aid that does not need to be paid back is factored in.
This means no out-of-pocket costs for students who qualify. To be considered for the fall quarter, students must apply to the college and have completed their financial aid application or special inquiry form by the August 1 deadline. All students who apply to the college are accepted.
“Washington state is already well-known for offering some of the most comprehensive financial aid programs in the nation. Here at WWCC, we are committed to expanding those opportunities for all of our students through the Warrior Pledge,” President Chad Hickox said.
