The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) recognized five student athletes on WWCC’s men’s and women’s basketball teams for their exceptional performance in the 2023–2024 season. Selections were voted on by college coaches from around the region.
Among other awards, both teams brought home East Region Freshman of the Year honors—for Luke Holocek on the men’s side and Brielle Magnuson on the women’s side. And Dylan Lovett was also named East Region Defensive Player of the Year
Congratulations to these outstanding Warriors for these well-deserved awards! You can cheer on both teams in the NWAC Sweet 16 playoffs. The men’s team plays Lower Columbia on March 7 at noon, and the women’s team plays Clackamas on March 8 at 6 p.m. Both games will be played at Columbia Basin College’s Holden Court.
