Walla Walla Community College alumna Adriana Mendoza was recently featured in the Hillsboro News Times for her inspiring work as a kindergarten teacher at Cornelius Elementary.
Mendoza began her educational journey at Walla Walla Community College, where she was supported by the TRIO program as a first-generation college student. She later earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from Portland State University and now teaches bilingual kindergarten in a predominantly Latino community.
