The Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department is required under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, to collect data for all overnight trips involving students. A list of all student overnight trips is reviewed at the end of the calendar year and a determination is made by the Campus Safety and Security Department whether or not each trip is required to be included in the Annual Security and Fire Report crime statistics as outlined in the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. As a faculty or staff member of Walla Walla Community College, you are required to submit a Student Travel Reporting Form online through the Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department website before leaving on an overnight trip that involves students. Campus Security Authorities are individuals that have significant responsibility for student and campus activities and who have been designated by Walla Walla Community College to be Campus Security Authorities. Campus Security Authorities are required to report Clery Act crimes that they have been made aware of and that occurred in Clery Act reportable geography including murder, manslaughter, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, arson, rape, fondling, incest, statutory rape and arrests or referrals for liquor law violations, drug law violations or weapons law violations. The form will be submitted to the Assistant Director of Security and Environmental Health and Safety for review and investigation.
Vehicles may only park in designated carpool parking Monday – Friday from 6am until 12pm with a valid Carpool Permit that has been issued by the Walla Walla Community College Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department. Carpool permits are available at no charge. Please fill out the Carpool Parking Permit Application and return it to the Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department to receive your carpool permit for the quarter.
Parking Citations may be appealed by completing a Parking Citation Appeal form at the Campus Safety and Security Office within 5 business days of receiving the citation. Appeals will not be accepted after the 5th day. Results of appeals may include denial of appeal, reduction in fine or approval of appeal and dismissal of parking citation.
The Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department is required under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, to collect data for all locations that the college owns or controls as defined in 2016 Handbook for Campus Safety and Security Reporting.
The Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department is then required to include all reported criminal activity on the Daily Crime Log and include all data in the Annual Security and Fire Report.
As a faculty or staff member of Walla Walla Community College, you are required to submit a Non-Campus Location Reporting Form online through the Security and Environmental Health and Safety Department website if you contract for or utilize a location that meets the definition of Non-Campus property under the Clery Act. Any questions regarding this policy can be addressed to the Assistant Director of Security and Environmental Health and Safety for Walla Walla Community College.
Once the determination is made by a College department that a specific chemical needs to be ordered, the ordering department will need to submit a copy of the chemical’s Safety Data Sheet and a signed requisition form to the Assistant Director of Security and Environmental Health and Safety, or the Lab Support Technician for the Science Division programs, before the order is placed. The requisition form will then either be approved, denied or sent back to the requesting department for further clarification.
