Walla Walla Community College Emergency Action Plan

Walla Walla Community College continues to plan, prepare and train for a wide variety of emergency events that could impact either the Walla Walla, WA or the Clarkston, WA campuses. As part of that continuing process, Walla Walla Community College has developed an Emergency Action Plan that covers both campuses and addresses active shooters, bomb threats/suspicious packages, earthquakes, fires, flooding, hazardous materials releases, medical emergencies, pandemic and communicable diseases, severe weather, utility failures, violent demonstrations/disturbances and volcanic ash fall.

Walla Walla Community College Continuity of Operations Plan

Continuity of Operations at Walla Walla Community College is defined as the identification of essential functions and how to continue those functions during a wide range of hazardous events and emergency situations. Walla Walla Community College is currently developing the Continuity of Operations Plans for both the Walla Walla and Clarkston Campuses.

Walla Walla Community College Status of Operations

The President of the College has delegated the power to suspend College operations to the Vice President of Administrative Services who is the only Walla Walla Community College official with the authority to suspend operations or cancel Walla Walla Community College classes. In the event of severe weather conditions, natural disasters or other significant emergency events, the Vice President of Administrative Services will determine if a change in status of operations is required and then that information will be disseminated to all faculty, staff and students through the Suspended Operations Policy.
