Walla Walla Community College offers a variety of Student Employment opportunities on our Walla Walla and Clarkston campuses. Many students work through the Federal and WA State work study programs, where eligibility is determined based on information provided on the FAFSA and the WWCC Information Form.  You will see work study listed as part of your financial aid award notification if you qualify.  Unsure if you were awarded work study?  Please check your Financial Aid Portal here.

Types of Work Study Available

Federal Work Study (FWS) – a federally funded program; providing on campus part-time jobs (8-10 hours per week) to students with financial need.  Students must be taking at least 6 credits each quarter toward their intended degree and must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress to remain eligible for FWS.

State Work Study (SWS) – a WA State funded program; providing on and off campus part time jobs (15-19 hours per week) to students who are residents of WA State and have financial need.  Students must be taking at least 6 credits each quarter toward their intended degree and must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress to remain eligible for SWS.

Don’t Qualify for Work Study?

No problem – there are other student employment opportunities on campus that you can apply for.  Individual departments on campus hire ‘Student Help’ positions year round.  These funds are allocated to the departments directly, so students do not have to apply and/or receive for financial aid in order to apply for one of these positions.  Students can work 15-19 hours per week (maximum) and must be taking at least 6 credits each quarter in order to work on campus.
