With the fall quarter set to start Sept. 25, Walla Walla Community College will host its final family-friendly Warrior Wednesday of the summer.
There will be plenty of snacks and activities for the kids, giving their parents time to explore the wide array of workforce and academic transfer programs as well as get information about financial aid and scholarships.
What: Warrior Wednesday
Where: WWCC campus Main Building (Building D)
When: September 13, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 pm
Bilingual college staff will be present to answer questions, provide one-on-one guidance through the WWCC application process, and assist in applying for financial aid. Information about the GED high school equivalency program and English Language Acquisition (ELA) offerings at WWCC will be available, showcasing the institution’s commitment to meeting diverse educational needs.
“We understand that the journey to higher education can be intimidating, but at WWCC, we’re here to make it a smooth and inclusive process,” said Melissa Rodriguez, Director of Outreach at Walla Walla Community College. “Warrior Wednesday is for anyone who is curious about WWCC and is not only about information-sharing but also about fostering a sense of community and support.”
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the event to enjoy some milk and cookies while they learn more about their potential future at WWCC. Staff will provide educational activities for the children, including drawing in a take-home activity book, examining objects under a digital microscope and even looking at x-rays of animals.
