Our commitment to Culinary Arts teaching and learning is evident in both our facilities and curriculum. We are a student centered program with an active Culinary Arts Club and opportunities to participate in structured labs, classroom and hands-on learning environments.

Culinary arts is accepting students for a Winter Jump Start which allows them to take two lecture modules in the Culinary Program (Food & Culture, Service Management, and Food & Beverage Management) in addition to classes outside the department in related instruction to the program (See degree requirements.)

Benefits to the Winter Jump Start

  • Participate in the program while meeting some of the related course instruction requirements.
  • Become familiar with our faculty and our community of practice.
  • Enroll in two lecture based culinary classes if desired.
  • Get ahead in the program.

Culinary lab classes can be demanding in time commitment, and students getting ahead can facilitate time management in later quarters.
