Trouble with the Student KIOSK?

Some of you may be having trouble accessing the Online Student KIOSK due to WWCC's 128-bit encryption certificate we just installed for Spring Quarter, 2002. We installed this higher-security certificate for the protection of our students and staff, however not all browsers are compatible with 128-bit encryption, and thus you may not be able to access the Student KIOSK. (The KIOSK is needed to register for classes, etc.) Below are a couple of things you can do to correct this problem.

128-bit Encryption Check - (http://fxtrade.oanda.com/help/browser_test.html) Use this page to check and see if your current browser version is 128-bit encryption compatible. You can also check to see if your current version of Internet Explorer is 128-bit compatible by opening up IE, Select "Help" from the top menu bar, then select "About Internet Explorer". The window that pops up should give you information like what browser version it is and what Cipher Strength (encryption) it uses.

Upgrade Internet Explorer - (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/128bit/) Use this page to update Internet Explorer to 128-bit encryption strength. This is a good idea no matter what you're doing!

Windows Update - (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com)  For anyone who uses windows, this should be a page that visit all the time! The windows update website will keep your windows machine secure, compatible, and up to date.

Please note: The Degree Audit (Degree Works) is not available off campus.
