Walla Walla Community College offers a variety of course delivery options that will accommodate your needs and preferences. In addition to on-campus traditional classes, we offer several distance learning options for time and/or placebound students and for students who prefer the convenience of distance learning. These options include:
Traditional on-campus classes
WWCC offers both day and evening classes Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m.
Campus Online classes
Online courses are delivered all or in part over the World Wide Web by WWCC instructors. These courses can be taken at home using your own computer, modem, and Internet access or in the college computer labs. Students should contact the instructors by email prior to the beginning of the quarter. Textbooks may be purchased at the WWCC bookstore. 509.527.4255.
Washington Online Classes
There are a number of online courses offered through a consortium between WWCC and other fully accredited Washington State Community and Technical Colleges. Each of these courses is taught by experienced online faculty who understand the special needs of online learners.
ITV Distance Learning classes
These classes are offered via interactive television and are designed for students attending classes at remote sites throughout the college’s service district, such as Clarkston, Washington. Using satellite technology, students link with an instructor and other students on the college’s main campus. In most cases, other students will also be taking the ITV class, so you will not be attending alone.
Telecourses
Correspondence and video courses are courses offered in select fields of study, and do not require regular classroom attendance with instructors and/or other students. If you take one of these courses, you are expected to read material, watch videos, and/or complete assignments according to the course outline. Upon completion, an instructor will review your materials and grade your work. Check the schedule of distance learning for class for availabity.
