GED stands for "General Education Development."
It is designed to reflect the same standard of general knowledge
as a high school graduate. There are five subject area tests:
writing, social studies, science, reading & literature, and math.
Your fist step is a placement test (CASAS test) to determine
your existing ability in reading in math. After the placement test,
an instructor will help you decide what your next step should be. Remember: Everyone goes at different speeds. Some people
finish the GED quickly. Others will need more time.
Don't compare yourself to others!
