| Enology and Viticulture Degree Options | ||||||||||||

Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences Degree in Enology & Viticulture This technical degree prepares the student for a variety of careers in vineyards (vineyard workers, crew leaders, managers, viticulturists) to wineries (winemakers, cellar workers, lab technicians, retail sales representatives). Viticulture Science Certificate This certificate is equivalent to the first year of the AAAS Degree in Enology and Viticulture, which is dedicated to the science of growing grapes. Fermentation Science Certificate This certificate is equivalent to the second year of the AAAS Degree in Enology and Viticulture, which is dedicated to the science of wine making. Viticultural Technician: FT/FT Student Core vocational instruction emphasizing the Hispanic worker and designed to prepare the seasonal employee for initial entry to employment in the viticulture industry and/or progression toward higher educational levels. For those students that elect to continue a program of study, the completed course credits may also be applied toward certificates or degrees in a related program area. Core vocational courses for this program are open-entry and open-exit in most instances. Support and related instruction courses are offered on a quarterly basis or available via distance delivery. aa |
