The primary function of the Walla Walla Community College Library is to support, enrich, and implement the curriculum of the college. In addition, the Library tries to provide a basic collection aimed at the intellectual development of the individual, and also to support a degree of faculty research.
The Walla Walla Community College Library reaffirms its belief in the following basic policies included in the American Library Association Bill of Rights:
- No material should be excluded because of the race or nationality or the social, political or religious views of the author.
- The Library shoujd provide books and other materials presenting all points of view concerning the problems and issues of our times; no library materials should be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.
- Censorship should be challenged by the Library in the maintenance of its responsibility to provide information and enlightenment.
- The rights of an individual to the use of the Library shall not be denied or abridged because of age, race, religion, national origins or social or political views.
- Gifts will be accepted if they are compatible with the Library's acquisitions policy.
