WWCC Circulation / Borrowing Policy

  • A patron must have a WALNET card issued by a WALNET library in order to borrow items from the WWCC library. Patrons are not required to show their card in order to check out items, they may give their name or student id to the staff member at the desk.
  • The most current circulation policy and other library information (hours, phone numbers, email address, etc.) is available on bookmarks at the front desk.
  • Four items of one type may be checked out at a time (e.g. 4 books, 4 CDs, etc.)
  • Books and periodicals circulate for 2 weeks.
  • CDs, DVDs, video tapes, cassette tapes, and pamphlets circulate for 1 week.
  • All items may be renewed once unless a hold has been placed on the item by another patron.
  • Reference books, current periodicals, and microform materials do not circulate. Occasionally exceptions are possible depending on the nature of the item and the length of time the book is needed. Ask the reference librarian or the director for permission.
  • Blocked patrons are subject to losing their borrowing privileges. A description of the most recent policy on this issue will be found at the circulation desk. (This policy is governed by WALNET agreements with other libraries).
  • Reserve materials are kept behind the front desk. They circulate for varying periods of time according to the instructions of the instructor. See “Reserve Collection Policies” for more details.
  • Instructional videotapes and DVDs are housed in the video room. These may check out to instructors for varying periods of time. Students and other patrons may use these materials in the library.
