Description
Students explore issues related to their cooperative work experience focusing on effective workplace relationships and how self-knowledge, perception, attitudes, and behavior affect these relationships and job satisfaction. Students will also learn effective learning skills for workplace and educational success. Co-requisite: WELD 191.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Analyze the characteristics of leadership.
  • Evaluate the major roles of a leader.
  • Differentiate between leadership and management.
  • Examine interpersonal behaviors and the resulting effect upon working relationships.
  • Analyze stress and its impact on effective leadership.
  • Differentiate between both the basic types of conflict and the methods of facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Examine management attitudes and the need to plan for change.
