Description
Provides proper performance of John Deere planting equipment. Topics include theory, design, principles of operation, proper setup, and adjustment of all planting equipment.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Describe the fundamentals of machine operation including proper tractor compatibility.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair procedures on various seed application equipment.
  • Optimize tractor and planting/seeding equipment according to conditions.
  • Practice safe work habits when diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
  • Communicate the complaint, the cause, and the action taken to correct the problem.
  • Use software applications and technical equipment appropriate for task.
  • Exhibit professionalism as listed in "Guidelines to Success" policies.
