Description
The first half of a modern high school algebra sequence with a focus in seven major topics: transition from arithmetic to algebra, solving equations & inequalities, probability and statistics, proportional reasoning, linear equations and functions. 
Intended Learning Outcomes
Create and evaluate expressions from verbal and written information.
Create and solve single and multistep equations from verbal and written information.
Determine the equation of a line given:
Two points
A point and its relationship to another line.
Build and convert between the slope intercept, point slope, and standard form of lines.

Course Topics
Transition from arithmetic to algebra.
Solving equations & inequalities.
Probability and statistics.
Proportional reasoning.
Linear equations and functions.
