Description
Explores Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) processes on ferrous and nonferrous materials. Topics include safe and proper GTAW equipment setup requirements, process variables, material requirements, and welding procedures. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. |
Intended
Skills and Attitude Outcomes |
A. Knowledge of GTAW principles, safe welding practices, and ability to relate these requirements o welding ferrous and nonferrous materials.
B. Knowledge of GTAW applications and limitations and ability to select the appropriate settings and application methods.
C. Ability to join mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys using GTAW procedures in all positions.
D. Ability to determine the proper process for a given welding project/application.
