Description
Instruction in shop performance, management, exercises in safety, hand and machine tool operation, use and maintenance, hardware identification, and other basic shop skills necessary for the successful outdoor power equipment manager. |

A. Locate and utilize safety equipment.
B. Identify unsafe shop practices, maintain clean working environment, demonstrate proper lifting equipment.
C. Communicate through teamwork, recognize personal limitations, fill out work orders correctly and legibly.
D. Demonstrate proper use of tape measures, micrometers, dial calipers.
E. Identify, name, and use common shop tools.
F. Complete tap and die project.
G. Demonstrate proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
H. Demonstrate proper handling, usage, and disposal of common chemicals and sealants used in the shop.
I. Exhibit professional demeanor, honesty, maintaining a positive company image, listening and interpreting customer needs, informing and updating a customer regarding cost of repairs.
