Master Course Outline Introductory Golf Instruction Course Number: PGM 111 Credits: 3 Hours per Quarter: 40 Lecture Hours:20    Lab Hours:20 Description The fundamentals of golf instruction will be discussed. Topics include the beginning golfer and developing the golf swing. Key instructional terminology is defined, ball flight laws examined and golf swing principles introduced. Basic lesson tee procedures are also covered. Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes A. Identify fundamentals of the basic golf swing. B. Know pre-swing and in-swing principles and preferences. C. Perform essential operations necessary on the golf lesson tee. D. Identify key club fitting features of golf equipment. E. Repair and customize elementary club components. F. Promote player fitness and beginner golf programs. G. Manage the eight-stage golf swing and ball flight laws. H. Understand the relevance of the golf swing to the game.
