Master Course Outline Golf Management II Course Number: PGM 102 Credits: 5 Hours per Quarter: 60 Lecture Hours:40    Lab Hours:20 Description Intermediate golf shop operations and tournament administration will be discussed. Topics include: tournament and league promotion, handicapping and member services, resolving problems with play and developing contingency plans. Golf course design principles are explored and golf course rating formulas introduced. Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes A. Use handicapping services in administering tournaments. B. Implement pace of play programs that enhance golf participation. C. Promote league development and increase golfer traffic. D. Establish rules and regulations in policing a golf facility. E. Recognize golf course design features used in starting services. F. Develop the ability to set up and mark a golf course.
