Description
The focus of this course is assisting LPNs admitted to the second year of the nursing program to fulfill program requirements. Use of the nursing process, critical thinking, and completion of nursing skills is emphasized. Prerequisites: Admission to second year of Nursing program. Co-requisite NURS 114.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
A. Demonstrates critical thinking in the use of the nursing process for clients of all age groups experiencing normal life processes or common/chronic illnesses.
B. Manages care for groups of clients in stable and predictable situations.
C. Performs interventions in a safe and effective manner.
D. Uses communication/interpersonal skills to meet client needs.
E. Demonstrates professional behaviors.
