Description
Focus on the plant identification and restoration process. This information will be used in watershed assessment and restoration activities. Laboratory and field work provide opportunities to use dichotomous keys and learn the local flora. Students will be required to create a journal that depicts the distribution, identification, life history, and cultural significance of plants in eastern Washington/Oregon to be used as a resource for watershed restoration. Students will also work on oral communication and speech skills through a series of plant-based presentations and a group restoration plan presentation.
