Description
The first in a series of two courses designed to provide an in-depth study of algebra to prepare students for advanced mathematics courses. Graphical analysis of concepts is emphasized through the use of technology. Topics include working with algebraic expressions, solving equations algebraically and graphically, and a detailed analysis of the algebraic and graphical properties of various functions. Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in MATH 080F, appropriate score on placement test or permission of the Mathematics Department. Formerly MATH 109, Precalculus I.
