Description
Basic theory, construction, and operation of gas and diesel engines are analyzed. Topics include disassembly, inspection, measurement, reassembly, and adjustments to John Deere diesel and gas engine components.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
A. Ability to rebuild John Deere gas and diesel engines.
B. Ability to test for proper operation.
C. Ability to dynamometer test for horsepower and engine operation.
D. Knowledge of crankcase lubricants, lubrication systems, and air filtration systems.
