Description
Introduction to manuals, service advisor information system, engine classifications, and serial numbers. Warranty, work orders, and John Deere recommended service department policies and procedures are explained. Orientation of John Deere product lines and the evolution of these products. The safe operation of shop tools will be demonstrated and a forklift safety and operation test will be included. Student may not earn credit in both JD 101 and JDAS 101. |

Skills and Attitude Outcomes |
A. Ability to discuss the history and current structure of the John Deere Company.
B. Understand the relationship of the sponsoring dealer to the John Deere Company.
C. Ability to properly use time cards, operator and technical manuals, service pricing guides, and D-Tac.
D. Ability to operate each piece of John Deere equipment that the program has access to for the course.
E. Ability to use Service Advisor electronic parts and technical manuals.
