Description Provides the student with basic skills necessary to provide the initial emergency care in a pre-hospital setting to victims of accidents or illness. First Responders are initial caregivers in an emergency situation and have knowledge and skill level above basic first aid and below the Emergency Medical Technician. Students who successfully complete the course are eligible to take the state certification exam.
