Master Course Outline Historical Geology Course Number: GEOL& 103 Credits: 5 Hours per Quarter: 60 Lecture Hours:40    Lab Hours:20 Description Study of the geological history of the earth; evolution of the earth, oceans, mountain building processes, and life. The principles of stratigraphy, biostratigraphy, geochronotogy, fossil identification, paleogeographic reconstructions, and plate tectonics are discussed. Lab work required.
