Description
Designed for firefighters that are confronted with a wild land fire situation and will focus on developing entry level wild land firefighting skills, emphasizing firefighter safety. The course complies with the PNWCG S-130/S-190 course requirements for entry level wild land firefighting. Prerequisite: FCA 111 or equivalent training.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
A. Describe firefighter safety and preparedness, standards for and tools for survival.
B. Discuss the fire environment including fire behavior factors and weather.
C. Apply basic firefighting skills to a wildland / urban interface environment.
D. Provide an overview of the incident command system as applied to a wildland setting.
E. Discuss and describe fire operations in the urban interface.
