Description
Designed for firefighters that are confronted with a wild land fire situation and will focus on developing entry level wild land firefighting skills, emphasizing firefighter safety. The course complies with the PNWCG S-130/S-190 course requirements for entry level wild land firefighting. Prerequisite: FCA 111 or equivalent training. |
Intended
Skills and Attitude Outcomes |
A. Describe firefighter safety and preparedness, standards for and tools for survival.
B. Discuss the fire environment including fire behavior factors and weather.
C. Apply basic firefighting skills to a wildland / urban interface environment.
D. Provide an overview of the incident command system as applied to a wildland setting.
E. Discuss and describe fire operations in the urban interface.
