Description
Learn various techniques for observing and recording the behavior of children in the classroom setting. Students use information and records to develop curriculum and methods for teaching children. Assessment techniques and instruments are discussed. Study skills are covered and anti-bias curriculum is introduced. Recommended: READ 088. Student may not earn credit for both ECE 175 and ED 175.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
A. Demonstrate how to assist in keeping individual and classroom data.
B. Demonstrate strategies to assist students in the classroom.
C. Record student performance in an objective manner.
D. Describe anti-bias issues and apply them to self-assessment.
E. Understand multiple intelligence, learning styles, and modalities to self assess and understand them in children.
