Chem&139 is intended for science majors who have not had chemistry in high school and need the chemical and mathematical preparation required for the CHEM& 161, CHEM& 162, CHEM& 163 series. It can also be used to fulfill the AA degree requirement in Natural Science. Prerequisites: MATH 78E or instructor permission; appropriate placement score or grade of C or higher in ENGL 087 or permission of the Science Division Chair or designee.
