Master Course Outline Introduction to Chemistry Course Number: CHEM& 121 Credits: 5 Hours per Quarter: 60 Lecture Hours:40    Lab Hours:20 Description Survey of inorganic chemistry for nursing and allied health sciences. Topics include atomic structure, bonding, periodicity, stoichiometry, gases, equilibrium, solution chemistry, acids, bases, buffers, and nuclear chemistry. Lab work required. Prerequisites: MATH 078E or instructor permission; appropriate placement score or grade of C or higher in ENGL 087; or permission of the Science Division Chair or designee.
