Master Course Outline Transportation and Highway Engineering Course Number: CET 263 Credits: 4 Hours per Quarter: 40 Lecture Hours:40 Description Introduction to transportation engineering that includes vertical and horizontal highway curves, mass diagrams, traffic studies, highway drainage problems, and intersection analysis. Written and oral reports are required. Prerequisite: CET 161 or instructor permission. Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes A. Ability to design horizontal and vertical curves. B. Ability to calculate mass diagrams. C. Understanding of highway drainage problems. D. Understanding of the importance of transportation to society. E.
