Developed around central themes in contemporary biology, this course emphasizes ecology, genetics, evolution and the diversity of life. Units on cells, plants, and animals illustrate the characteristics of living organisms and basic life processes. Discussions of recent advances in biology and the problems incurred will be included. This course is primarily intended for undecided or non-science students. Lab work required.
