Description
Advanced study of theory and application of three-dimensional forms in space using a variety of media such as plaster, wire, steel assemblage, cardboard and wood. Prerequisite: ART 168 or instructor permission. |

Assessment based upon completion of sculpture projects and presentations, and performance on midterm and final critique (includes presentation of the finished sculpture piece[s]): demonstrating knowledge and skill related to a brief history of sculptural arts, the vocabulary of and for the sculptural arts, the basic principles of 3-D design, the roles of the artist/sculptor and the observer, and the materials and methods used in the sculptural arts, and presentation of the finished sculptural piece[s].
