Description
Study and application of the formal elements of art structure. Problems in organization of line, shape, value, texture, and color. Emphasis is on composition of color designs. Materials to be purchased.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
Using design projects, presentations,quizzes, critiques (weekly, midterm, and final), students will demonstrate their knowledge of the the vocabulary of and for the visual arts; the basic principles of design; the roles of the artist and the observer.
