Description
Introduction to microeconomics as applied to production, consumption, and marketing issues in the business and production sectors of the economy. Topics include supply/demand theory, consumer choice theory, production theory, and costs of production. Student may not earn credit for both AGRI 202 and ECON& 201.

Intended Skills and Attitude Outcomes
A. Ability to define economics.
B. Knowledge of economic concepts related to individual decision-making.
C. Ability to use graphs, tables, and formulas as related to economic decision-making.
D. Knowledge of the effects of elasticity on demand and supply.
E. Ability to calculate maximum profit, maximum revenue, and break-even.
F. Knowledge of resource classification.
G. Ability to define and compare physical and economic diminishing returns.
H. Knowledge of the concepts of demand and supply.
I. Knowledge of competitive and non-competitive market structures and decision making in different market structure conditions.
J. Ability to calculate costs and use of cost concepts in decision-making.
K. Ability to calculate the time value of money.
