Description
The use, operation, and maintenance of turf equipment, including mower units, top dressers, soil aerators, trimmers, and miscellaneous turf equipment are covered. Also provides a practical understanding of costing of equipment. Safety is emphasized. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Operate a variety of mower units, top dressers, aerification units, trimmers, and miscellaneous turf equipment by summarizing the steps used.
Demonstrate competency of maintenance procedures on a variety of turf equipment.
Describe the methods used for blade sharpening and adjusting.
Summarize the procedures used for equipment lubrication.
Describe the steps used for equipment inspection.
Demonstrate competence of area measurement by measuring a given area.
Describe the processes used for equipment use costing.
Describe various principles of equipment safety practices.
