Description
Fundamental course in proofreading and editing skills. Develops skills in proofreading to detect errors in capitalization, content, format, grammar, number usage, punctuation, spelling, word division, and word usage in business documents. Recommended: BUS 136.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Demonstrate ability to proofread documents for professionalism.
  • Demonstrate ability to proofread and edit the most common types of errors in written and electronic messages.
  • Demonstrate the ability to spell most frequently misspelled words.
  • Demonstrate ability to proofread documents from hard copy as well as electronic copy.
