Description
Job Hunter encourages job seekers to think like employers and teaches the how to demonstrate skills and abilities in relation to business needs. Program completion is based on attendance criteria, homework assignments, class participation and development of an individualized employment portfolio consisting of a resume, master application and sample cover letter.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Develop skills to become a competitive and successful job seeker.
  • Explain changes that occur in the job market.
  • Discuss methods that can be used in locating potential jobs.
  • Develop a plan for networking and contacting potential employers.
  • Demonstrate traits that employers are looking for in job applicants.
  • Be able to complete a employment application, resume, and cover letter.
  • Learn skills necessary to be successful in a job interview and how to handle problem areas that occur in interviews.
