Description
Explores principles, function, and application of electronic controlled transmissions as found on row crop, 4-WD, and other agriculture equipment. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Test and diagnose various hydraulic controlled transmissions as used on John Deere agricultural equipment.
Repair various hydraulic and mechanically controlled transmissions as used on John Deere agricultural equipment.
Knowledge of calibration of the control units of the transmissions and power trains.
Demonstrate understanding the theory of power-train systems.
Explain the theory of operation of mechanical, partial-powershift, full-powershift, and infinitely variable transmissions.
Diagnose, disassemble, and reassemble various power-train systems.
Explain the theory of operation of brakes (wet and dry), torsion damper, and torque converters.
Demonstrate understanding of final drive systems.
Diagnose, disassemble, and reassemble various final drive and differential systems.
