Description
Explores principles, function, and application of electric over hydraulic circuits as found on row crop, 4-WD, and combines. Construction, fluid flow, electrical flow, and testing of systems are explained, demonstrated, and practiced. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Diagnose various hydraulic controlled transmissions, hydraulic valves, and controllers.
Repair various hydraulic controlled transmissions, hydraulic valves, and controllers.
Knowledge of calibration.
Use diagnostic fault codes.
Knowledge of various hydraulic control valves in different applications.
Calculate hydraulic pressure and low using Pascal's Law.
Demonstrate the theory of operation of an open and closed center hydraulic system.
Demonstrate the theory of hydraulic pump and motor operation.
Demonstrate the theory of closed center, constant and variable pressure hydraulic system operation.
Diagnose problems of an open and closed center hydraulic system.
Disassemble and repair a hydraulic component following tech manual instructions and specifications.
Utilize a flow meter and test gauges to measure performance in a hydraulic system.
Identify the symbols on an ISO hydraulic diagram and locate the components on equipment.
Student must score a minimum of 80% on the Hydraulics - Methods & Techniques - Assessment to be eligible for graduation from the JD TECH Program.
