Description
Performance of John Deere harvesting equipment will be analyzed. Topics include theory, design, principles of operation, proper set-up and adjustment of all harvesting equipment. Emphasis on combines, hay, and forage equipment. Student may not earn credit for both JD 230 and JDAS 230.

  • Operate various types of harvesting equipment.
  • Adjust various types of harvesting equipment for maximum productivity.
  • Diagnose harvesting problems.
  • Repair various types of harvesting equipment.
  • Describe the fundamentals of various harvesting systems.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnostic, and repair procedures on various harvesting equipment.
  • Ability to set up and adjust harvesting equipment prior to and in-field use to optimize performance according to conditions.
