Description
Basic theory, construction, and operation of gas and diesel engines are analyzed. Topics include disassembly, inspection, measurement, reassembly, and adjustments to John Deere diesel and gas engine components. |
Intended Learning Outcomes
Rebuild John Deere gas and diesel engines.
Test for proper operation.
Dynamometer test for horsepower and engine operation.
Knowledge of crankcase lubricants, lubrication systems, and air filtration systems.
Disassemble and reassemble an engine using recommended procedures.
Describe the theory of operation of an internal combustion engine.
Utilize a dynamometer to measure engine performance and diagnostic testing procedures.
Describe the theory of operation of various types of fuel systems.
Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on various fuel systems.
Knowledge of the legal limitations with respect to repairing fuel systems.
