Description
Theory, operation, testing, and repair methods for spark ignition and compression ignition fuel systems are explored. Topics include relationship of valve timing, ignition, and injection timing to normal combustion. Theory, operation and maintenance of emission systems are explored and demonstrated.

Intended Learning Outcomes
  • Repair and adjust John Deere fuel systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fuel delivery system components, disassembly, and reassembly.
  • Describe the operation of various types of fuel and emission systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the legal limitations with respect to repairing fuel systems.
